Hello. My name is Keith Plimmer. I live in Huddersfield and I document lone shoes. I've been doing this since October 2009. I don't really know why I started. I found one in a field gateway near Marsden and I took a photograph and wrote it down, and I've been doing it ever since.
This website was built by my nephew Gary. I've kept it going myself since 2011. I am aware it looks a bit old. I don't mind.
You may notice the Gallery looks different to the rest of the site. That is Gary. He has been learning what he calls vibe coding, where you tell a computer what you want and it has a go. He asked could he do one page and I said the gallery, because photographs is photographs however you put them up. He says the rest of the site will follow but his credits have run out until he is paid. I have had a look at it. There is a lot of white. All thirteen shoes are present, I counted them.
Separately, for a while there was a page on here called bookings. That one was NOT mine and it was not Gary's either. It appeared in March and it was selling trainers. I deleted it twice and it came back both times. Gary has now got rid of it properly, he says it was to do with the hosting. If you bought any trainers off it, that was not me.
It is called Keith's Podcast. One or two had said the trip reports on here were brief and they would like more detail. The podcast is the more detail. Episodes are about three minutes, though they are not all the same length. The shoes were not all the same size.

The Heckmondwike
I want to be careful about how I write this. I do not believe in mythical shoes. What I will say is that since around 2015 there have been five reports, from four different people, of a shoe in the Heckmondwike area that does not seem to have a straightforward explanation. I keep a folder. I do not want to say more than that at this stage.
