Gary rang about the map. He said it would work better if it knew when two entries were the same place, because at present it has Rigby Woods down twice and believes there are two woods. He asked could I write him a list. This is the list, and since I had it typed out I have put it up here an' all.

It is every place in the register, gathered together, with how many have come off it and the first and the last. Where the notebook says one thing on a Tuesday and summat slightly different two year later, I have put them together and set out the different wordings underneath, so you can see what I have done and disagree with it if you like. Blackmoorfoot is the clearest case. I have logged from every side of that water and called it a different thing near enough every time, and it is one reservoir.

I have not altered a single entry to make this tidy. The entries say what I wrote at the time. This page only puts them in an order.

The wellingtons are not counted in the totals, for the reasons I have set out elsewhere and will not go over again, but where one turned up at a place I have said so, because it is still true that it were there.

Ninety odd places, and most of them have given me the one shoe and are unlikely to give me another. That is the shape of it and I did not expect owt else.

If I have put two places together that you know for a fact to be two places, write in and I will separate them. I would rather be told.
