There were a board I used from 2013 until it closed, for people who keep records of lost or single items found in public places. The hosting lapsed in the autumn of 2019 and the whole lot went. Our Gary saved my threads off it a fortnight before, which I hadn't asked him to do and were glad of after.
I have left the other members' posts in where they sit. It wouldn't be right to cut them out, a thread being a conversation, and half a conversation is no use to anybody. I have taken the surnames out. One other thing, so there's no confusion: this is not the walking forum I still get reports off. That's a different place and it's still going.
The Lost and Single Items Board. Closed September 2019. 14 threads saved, 51 posts. Surnames removed.
People ask where the folder were kept before this website had a page for it, and the answer is that it were kept in a ring binder, and still is, but the reports that went into it mostly came in through that board. So it seemed right to put it up. The posts are as they were, spelling an' all, apart from the surnames coming out. I am still in touch with two of them by email, and I get a card off Bev at Christmas with a note in it about her hip, which she reports is a great deal better than it were. If you recognise your own posts on here and would rather they came down, write to me and they will be down the same day, no explanation wanted. Best wishes, Keith.
