First full year in Notebook 1, and reading it back now it's thin stuff. Ten shoes across twelve months, with gaps you could drive a bus through. I wasn't going out looking in them days. If a shoe were there when I passed, it went in the book, and if it weren't, nowt did. Same biro all year, blue, from the merchant's. The entries are one line each and I've copied them out as they stand, because that's what were written. No weather, no conditions, nothing about the flask, though the flask did come on some of these walks. It just never occurred to me the flask were worth recording. That came later. Most of the photographs from 2010 didn't come out. The phone I had then were no good in low light and I mostly walk early. I remember the Deer Hill one better than the book tells it, but I'll not add owt now. You can't go back putting words in a notebook. That's not how it works.
