The Register — 2017
18 entries, #107 to #124 · transcribed from the notebook
Notebook 4, this one. Blue biro throughout, and the spine's gone, so the pages want holding down while you read. 2017 were eighteen shoes and a fair amount of driving east, which weren't like me at the time. The folder had been open two years by then and reports kept coming in from that side, so the Denby Dale and Farnley Tyas direction got more attention than usual. October you'll see for yourself — the Emley boot. I've transcribed it as I wrote it. It wasn't the one, and I said so at the time, and I'd say so now. Beyond that it were a steady year. The stool were in its second season and earning its keep. Our Linda kept the sandwiches coming. One or two reports that year came to nowt at all — I'd drive out and there'd be no shoe, or there'd be a wellington, which is another matter entirely. None of that goes in the register. Only what were there.
