Right plimsoll, black, near the lock at Slaithwaite. No lace, which I noted. Slaithwaite has give me plimsolls twice now — there were a blue one on the towpath in 2023 — and I've no view on why, because that's not really the point of what I do.
The 2011 entry carries nothing on conditions. July, so it'll have been light early, and I'll have set off at half seven same as ever, but the notebook doesn't say, and I'll not have it saying things it doesn't.
