Back to Marsden for this one. Right boot, brown, laces gone, on a field edge off Mount Road. Marsden is where the first shoe were, October 2009, a field gateway — so a brown right boot in a Marsden field two year on did give me a moment of taking stock. The notebook doesn't record the moment. It records the boot.
Crackin' spot up Mount Road, mind. You can see a long way from that field edge, though what the visibility were doing that particular morning I couldn't tell you, because conditions weren't a thing I recorded yet.
