A child's shoe, left, blue canvas, small size, sat on the wall by the riverside path in Holmfirth, near the bridge. The children's ones I tend to remember better than the rest, and this is one of them.
Dry day, cold wind coming down the valley — that's in the notebook, and so is 'photograph came out for once', which tells you summat about the hit rate in 2014. I've still got that photograph. Blue canvas against a grey wall. I stood with it a while before moving on, and I'll have had the flask somewhere along the river, though the notebook doesn't say. That's all the record holds and it's enough.
