Right shoe, brown, lace-up sort, both laces in and tied, at the bottom of the steps off Town End in Golcar. Golcar is all steps, more or less, so a shoe at the bottom of a flight is about as Golcar as a find can be. Warm for early May, the notebook says, and condition fair.
Both laces tied is always worth noting and I noted it. Beyond that I remember nowt about the day, and I'd rather say so than dress it up. Some of them are just a shoe, a flight of steps, and a warm morning, and there's no shame in that.
