Number seven were the first child's shoe in the register. The book says: child's sandal, left, brown, on the wall, no photograph taken. Scar Lane is a steep one and the wall runs most of the way up it, so I couldn't tell you now which stretch it were on.
I remember it being small, which you'd expect of a child's sandal, so that's not much of a memory. What strikes me copying it out in 2026 is that I gave it the same one line as everything else that year. That were right, I think. Equal treatment.
